Niagara Falls

After visiting Palmyra we decided to go on to Niagara Falls since we had never been there before. I have to preface this by saying that these pictures do not do it justice. The water is gorgeous! It is crystal clear and such a beautiful aquamarine color, and the power of the falls just blows you away!

On our walk to the falls, we took a side trail down to the river that eventually falls. We let the kids feel the water.

Shortly after this picture was taken, Katelyn's pink had fell off into the water, and eventually (I'm sure) went over the falls!
We saw American Falls first:

And then Horseshoe Falls:
While we were there, there was a man with a parrot on his shoulder and the kids wanted to see it. Apparently, the man had trained the parrot to do tricks, so Joseph was able to give it a high five, and hold it.


We then went down to the bottom of the falls where we took a trail that went right by the falls. We wore ponchos to prevent ourselves from getting totally drenched, but that was probably our favorite part! We don't have any pictures of that part because we didn't want to ruin the camera. It was a great experience, though!
